This is a silver condiment stand from "The SS United States Liner". Unlike most, this piece is in top condition. These were used expressly in the dining-rooms of all three classes. This condiment stand was manufactured expressly for the "Big U" by..."The Gorham Silver Company", and is stamped..."United States Lines" on the bottom as well. The SSUS signature "Manhattan Pattern" is present on the finial. Wine card also included. This attractive water pitcher was originally purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
