  • Condition: Very good condition with no distracting dings or dents. One of the plates has some scratching on the front and the back of the plate. Whomever had this set before me probably tried to clean it improperly. This one may need to be buffed/professionally polished. Another one has some scratching on the back of the plate. See all pictures for details. I have only lightly polished these but they could all use a more thorough polishing.

    Description

    This listing is for a matching set of 6 vintage silver footed dessert plates/trays that were made in Persia before 1967.  They have nicely engraved designs and reticulated rims, are 6 3/4" in diameter and 3/4" tall.  All are hallmarked on the bottom with several different marks including 84 in Arabic which is the silver standard mark for 87.5% silver.    Total weight is 35.77 troy ounces (1112.8 grams).
    Very good condition with no distracting dings or dents.  One of the plates has some scratching on the front and the back of the plate.  Whomever had this set before me probably tried to polish the plate but didn't use an appropriate method and it may need to be professionally polished.  A different plate has some scratching on the back of the plate.  I have only lightly polished these but they could all use a more thorough polishing.  Please see
