Scratch and Peck Feeds® Layer Feeds are designed to be the healthiest and most natural product available for your baby chicks. While all of their products are soy free, the Naturally Free poultry feed line is both soy free and corn free.
As soon as your chicks and ducklings hatch, they will be hungry for feed that is formulated to provide them with the nutrients they need to grow strong and healthy. Naturally Free Organic Starter Feed for Chickens and Ducks is a special blend of cracked organic grains, organic flax meal, wild-caught fish meal, and necessary vitamins and minerals.
This Stage One feed provides baby chicks and ducklings with enough protein to jump start their growth without adding unnecessary stress to their bodies. Plenty of vitamins and minerals provide chicks and ducklings with nutrients they need for Stage One healthy development.
While some hatchery chicks receive vaccines to help them survive the conditions of large scale farming practices, Naturally-Free Organic Starter Feed for Chickens and Ducks is medication-free. We believe providing a premium diet, a clean coop environment, and plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and room to roam, are the most important considerations for your flock’s long term well-being.
This feed is also suitable for ducks, geese and all waterfowl.
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Naturally Free Organic Starter Feed should be used from day 1 until approximately 8 weeks of age for laying birds.
Please offer plenty of fresh water not directly next to starter feed to prevent “beak clumping”.  Refill feeders only after all feed has been consumed (til they “clean up their plates”).
Some chicks may need to be shown how to eat and drink. To teach your chicks how to drink, carefully dip their beaks in water. Do the same with their starter feed so they can learn what food is.
