    Description

This auction is for a lapel button and souvenir spoon from a Reading Railroad Ramble to Atlantic City, NJ, that occurred on August 7, 1949.  The button has a triangle in the center, with 3 Rs and the words "READING RAIL RAMBLERS" outside each face of the triangle.
The bowl of the spoon is decorated with a stamped decoration with the words "ATLANTIC/CITY" in an oval cartouche with a series of waves as its border.  The handle has a cast putti on the end with bells on the shaft of the handle.  (commemorating AC as a wedding destination, I presume)  Family verbal history says the spoon was acquired in AC during the ramble described on the button.
The words "STERLING PLATE" is cast on the underside of the handle.
Spoon is in like new condition, and was rarely, if ever, polished.  I have not polished it in the 50 years I have owned this spoon.  See photos for details
