Very Rare Dated 1779 Mt. Vernon Virginia Wedding Pincushion / Pin Cushion - design constructed of tiny metal pinheads of bride and groom's initials, date, hearts, and tiny flowers, heavy fabric with fish scale design, super tiny stitches to seams, previously deaccessioned from The Mt. Vernon Ladies Association, Mt. Vernon Virginia, 5" W x 6 1/2" H x 3" D. Excellent condition - no holes or stains, lacking a few pinheads, see photo close-ups. Has old museum tag still attached.
