Welcome,
This listing si for a lovely antique German made antique half doll.
I believe she was manufactured by Fasold & Stauch but am unable to verify this because she bears no makers mark.
She has the incised mold number of 10016.
She is a large piece and is just over 6 inches tall.
There are many references to this beautiful and quite stunning Spanish half doll.  One such reference can be found on page 401 in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Half Dolls by Freida Marion and Norma Werner.
There is another reference on page 111 in "A Price Guide To Pincushion Dolls" by Susan Endo
She is made of glazed porcelain and was manufactured in the 1920's
She wears a maroon or brick red blouse beneath the cream colored mantilla that has a mold detail that gives it a lace like effect to the molded material.
Her stunning eyes which have been outlined in black, have grey eyeshadow on the both the upper and lower lids.
The detail found within this mold is magnificent and it is no wonder she is such a sought after piece.
Her facial features as well as her delicate fingers have amazing detail..
She wears a gold bangle bracelet on her right arm.  There are two hand painted roses that are just below her chest.
She has stunning brown eyes and jet black curls peek out beneath her elegant mantilla.
This stunning half doll comes from my private collection.
I am a private collector as was my Grandmother before me and her mother before her.  My Grandmother and Great Grandmother over many decades acquired a very large collection of half dolls.  There were many duplicates between their collections and the one I started back in the 1970's.   I am selling some of the duplicates so that I can continue to collect.
I have no room to display all of them and no need for duplicates.  This is the first time this piece is being offered up for sale.  It belonged to my Grandmother and was in her collection since the piece was new.
It is in absolutely pristine condition and has been kept in a display cabinet for as long as I am able to remember.
