Antique Karl Schneider Germany Half Doll, RARE Hungarian Gypsy Pincushion Doll

This listing is for a very beautiful, highly detailed and quite rare antique half doll.
She is an original antique piece and is in wonderful condition.
She comes from my private collection.

Circa 1880 - 1910
The base is incised with the Karl Schneider symbol and the word GERMANY along with the incised numbers 14393.
She is an "arms away" style medium size half doll.
She is 3.5 inches tall.
This half doll has jet black hair and is done to replicate a Hungarian Gypsy woman.
She wears bright yellow bracelets and hoop earrings that have been wonderfully sculpted into this unique mold.
Her loose white blouse is covered by a short blue and red bolero and her little cap is painted the same strong ruse-red color.
She would make a beautiful addition to any collection and would also make a stunning pincushion doll.
This is a rare piece and one seldom seen. You can find references to her in several different editions of Half Doll books. One reference can be found on Page 177 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Half Dolls. She is also featured in the same book in the colored photo section on page 293. They have her with the back drop of a covered wagon which was quite fitting for this style of half doll.
