    Description

Antique Handmade Beaded & Fringed Pincushion
    English * Circa 1860
This little Victorian pincushion is completely hand made with solid lattice like designs on both sides. It's especially cute because of its small size. The edges are fringed with long beaded loops, and it's all made with tiny glass beads (32 to the inch).
I don't think all of the fringe is intact, but it's pretty much so. It measures about 1 3/4" x 1 3/4", including the fringe. The center cushion is 7/8" square. A beaded pincushion from this era
shown on p. 170 of Nerylla Taunton's book
    Antique Needlework Tools and Embroideries.
