Antique Half Doll, Pincushion Doll, Collectible Doll, Large Half Doll

This listing is for an antique porcelain half doll.
She comes from my private collection and was part of my Grandmother's extensive half doll related collection.
This half doll is incised with the word "FOREIGN" on the front and incised with the mold number 16749 on the back.
The detail on this mold is nice.  It shows nice detail on the ruffled collar as well as the folds on her sleeves and the flower in he hand.
Her fingers also have good detail.
She is a large size half doll and is 4.5 inches tall.
She has blonde hair and and her hat and bodice have been hand painted a beautiful blue with white accents.
Her stylish Victorian bonnet is adorned with molded feather plumes.
She holds a single flower to her chest.
She has been hand painted and her blouse is done in pink with yellow accents.
She is in wonderful antique condition.  She is free from chips, cracks or repairs.

Please understand this is an antique piece. It is not perfect or new.
When porcelain was manufactured back in the 1920's there were tiny impurities within the slip which caused imperfections when fired such as tiny pinhead bubbles, specks, discolorations etc....
This is part of purchasing an antique and helps to not only date the piece but adds a certain character to the item that you just don't get in today's items.
These lovely pieces are a part of history....and if you are looking for perfect or new...,then maybe antiques are not for you. :)
This piece is 100 plus years old and such a wonderful part of history.
