    Description

    This 1979 Ocean City, NJ seasonal beach tag is from the earliest years when beach tags were issued.  This particular one commemorates the centennial of Ocean City's founding in 1879.  It has a distinctive shape and measures approximately 1 1/2 inches on each side.
    The tag is nice and clean with no fading of the colors and only minimal, light tarnish or rust here and there on the pin - which makes sense since this was likely attached to a wet bathing suit multiple times.  The finish on the front is quite shiny so any white spots you may see in the photo are light reflections.  As is typical of most of the beach tags I've seen, the plastic tag does not lie flat but has a bit of curvature to it.
